For your trips around Lisbon, read your Navegante card to check its balance and recent taps. If you save the card, later readings add to your local history.

Read your Navegante card with NFC on an iPhone or an Android phone with NFC, then choose to save it. The latest saved balance appears on Home without another scan.
This is the balance at the last reading. Read the card again after traveling or topping up to update it.

Trilho only reads the card. Use the operator’s channels to top it up and tap your card as usual when you travel.

With saving enabled, each new reading adds recent taps to your history on this phone. Here, the named stops connect the Lisbon metro, Cascais train and Cacilhas ferry trips. You can add names for some bus stops too.
The card keeps only its last three taps. Read it regularly to save more of your trips. Fares in the history are estimates.

I made Trilho to help people get around Portugal by public transport. It’s free, independent of transport operators and works without an account.
Your saved card history stays on your phone and may be included in its backup, if enabled. Usage statistics are off unless you choose to enable them. Route searches send the stops or coordinates needed to calculate a route.
Available information varies by network, route and source. A listed operator may have services that aren’t covered.

You can read a Navegante card from the Lisbon region on an iPhone or an Android phone with NFC. Hold the card to the back of your phone to see its balance, loaded tickets or passes and recent taps. Trilho only reads: it doesn’t top up, validate or change the card. Trilho can’t read an Andante card’s balance or trips in Porto. Card reading isn’t available on iPad.
Only Carris Metropolitana departures show live predictions, when the operator provides them, and the app labels them. Metro, trains, ferries and other networks show scheduled times. Routes are calculated from timetables. Service notices depend on the information available from each operator.
No. Trilho helps you plan a trip and understand ticket options. For CP trains, “Buy ticket” opens CP’s website to complete the purchase. Top up cards through the operator’s channels.
No. Route prices are estimates based on available data. The final fare depends on your ticket or pass, travel zones and the operator’s conditions. Fares in your card history are estimates too: the chip doesn’t store them.
You can view the metro maps and read your Navegante card offline. Route searches, departures and service notices need an internet connection.
You can restore saved places, routes, preferences and card history from a supported phone backup. On Android, they’re included when the backup is encrypted with your screen lock or you transfer directly to a new phone. On iPhone, restore them when setting up the phone from an iCloud backup; reinstalling only the app doesn’t restore them. Check that your phone’s backup is enabled. There’s no Trilho account, and Trilho can’t access these backups.
No. Search for places and stops by name, or choose a point on the map. If you allow location access, your location may be sent to Trilho’s service to find nearby stops and calculate routes.
